Telkom connection problems

These few days im having bad problems with the interner ect. Each time i use the internet , it only stays connected for a few minutes for example when i play CoD4 and i get connection timed out and when i look at the modem the lights disapeared where it shows the internet connecting(btw its a Telkom 100 WR modem or something like that). Please any advise would be appreciated

Phone Telkom and ask them to reset your line, should fix the problem.

Miskien is dit n Pta probleem, maar raporteer dit by Telkom.

Nee wat dis nie Pta nie, ek het geen probleem maar het wel n ruk terug een gehad. Maar nadat telkom tecs uitgekom het na die exchange toe is alles honky dory!!

hmmmmm....want ek sien deesdae baie telkom tecs wat aan die buurt se kabels ens. werk....dalk is hul besig om goed reg te stel of iets anders

here is something i do because i get a similar issue

i have a belkin dsl modem
everything was working great till one day it just lost internet connect the same way yours does

i called telkom the works to reset my line but in the end it did not help a little bit
they said there is nothing wrong from my side.
i got so fed up i went to the phone jack that plugs into the modem
and plugged it into a normal phone
when i listend on the line it was giving a crackling sound so i dialed a number and put the phone down off the hook
when i picked it up the signal was a clear as ever

and plugged it back in and it worked like a bomb

ones it was because the fuse in the telephone jack fried ( lightning ) but that was replaced. but there other time as above it was static on the line

hmmmm...our phone also makes that crackling sound....its been giving us problems for about a week now.Thanx for the tip ....gonna see what i can do to fix it

thanx Notype...i changed my microfilter ports and now i can actually play cod4 without getting connection lost after 5 min playing with an 999 ping :P
