COD5 World at War
Played the multiplayer last night for the first time after having to download a 318mb patch from SGS.
While the patch was downloading I started playing the single player game, very good, quite entertaining, good missions, fun.
Then Jansen and myself started playing online as soon as the patch was downloaded, it is a fun game but felt laggy and the hit detection was very bad at times, a good config should fix both issues. Too early to tell if this game will be a competetive game for clannies and leagues, maybe if they make a promod for it, then we can decide if we are going to play it as a clan or not, lets give it a month or two first.

Re: COD5 World at War
Just uploaded a modified COD4 config this morning and had a test run and I have to say that the hit detection and lag is better.
Still not able to activate the fps on screen but lagometer is working.
Also the sound is 200% better than in the beta but SGS still has a lot of issues regarding PB kicks for cvars to sort out.

There are indeed, but thats why it's a Beta version, they want people to test it for them and most prople report on those errors and bugs, also give them suggestions, it's kind of like having the gaming comunity as employees except you don't pay them a salary and they find all the nooks and crannies in the game for them to fix. Pretty smart if you ask me.

Uhmm, we were talking about the full release that came out on Friday so it`s not the Beta anymore but the full monty.
Re: COD5 World at War
That would explain why I can't install the patch, , I thought that the patch was for the Beta version, sorry, my boo boo.

Re: COD5 World at War
So... as our webpage has been overrun by the post of this game... i take it that you boys are liking it ?
Re: COD5 World at War
It is a nice game, a lot like COD4 but with different weapons and new maps, also some new game modes.
You will need a good config though, so if anyone buys the game and wants the config that Jansen made for us, please ask him, I'm sure he wont mind sending it to you. :p

1. Open Control Panel
2. Open your Firewall
3. Click on Exceptions
4. Add Ports
5. look at the following pics and add these ports - As they are the ports Activision uses for the game that they recommend.
